For a project we are currently working on, we felt the urge to research the cone. We began our study in the Netherlands, where we are all familiar with orange cones, discovering a variety of sizes, shapes, and uses. We noted the different degrees of wear on these cones; some showed extensive scuff marks and faded colors, while others appeared brand new, reflecting their environments from busy urban areas to quieter rural settings. We then expanded our research to Mexico, where we found entirely different colors and shapes. Bright orange was less common there, and many cones featured unique designs and inscriptions that added character. This is the result of our visual research on the cone for our future project.
